IWIN members on tour in Germany
First stop is Germany with the magnificent Interzum and Ligna events

Show season is almost upon us, and the Irish Contract Interiors Ireland is delighted to spotlight two marquee industry events taking place this May. Interzum in Cologne and LIGNA in Hannover promise unparalleled opportunities for innovation, networking, and business growth.
Interzum, the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design, is scheduled from May 20th-23rd, 2025, at Messe Cologne. Renowned for its cutting-edge displays and forward-thinking approach, Interzum will explore sustainable solutions under its guiding theme, ‘Rethinking Resources: Circular and Biobased Solutions.’

This four-day event gathers top-tier exhibitors and industry experts from around the globe, showcasing the latest trends in innovative materials, design, and production techniques. In a bid to highlight the excellence of the Irish manufacturing sector, Irish Wood & Interiors Network (IWIN) is arranging a joint collaboration exhibition at Interzum. A consortium of Irish manufacturers will exhibit under the IWIN umbrella – demonstrating international capabilities and presenting a united front that underscores the strength and creativity of our industry.

IWIN manager Gareth Sherry
Equally exciting is the series of Irish nights that IWIN Network is hosting at both shows. IWIN manager Gareth Sherry says: “We held networking evenings at these same events back in 2023, which were very successful and well attended by over 100 of our industry members, and we anticipate a similar turnout this year.
“In Cologne, an inviting city centre venue will set the stage for an exclusive networking evening where Irish attendees can forge new connections, share insights, and explore collaborative opportunities in a relaxed, convivial atmosphere.

Just days later, LIGNA will take centre stage in Hannover from May 26-30th, 2025, at the renowned Hannover Fairgrounds. Celebrating 50 years of excellence, LIGNA is universally recognised as the world’s leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing. The event will feature various exhibits covering forestry technology, advanced machinery, automation, and sustainable wood processing innovations.

IWIN members 'connecting' in Germany for networking and refreshment
Complementing the technical showcases, IWIN will host another Irish night in Hannover at a prime city centre location, providing a vibrant setting for industry professionals to connect and expand their networks. Enhancing the evening, Maginn Machinery will join forces with IWIN, with Catherine Cullen lending her expertise to curate an exceptional networking experience designed to help attendees build valuable relationships, spark new ideas, and drive future business success.
Gareth concludes: “Both Interzum and LIGNA offer dynamic platforms to discover breakthrough innovations, engage with industry leaders, and tap into international markets. We invite all attendees to visit the IWIN stand at Interzum and join the Irish nights at both fairs. Full details about the networking nights and venues will be shared as we get closer to the shows on our website and social media pages, so stay tuned for that update.”
